About Us
The Book Social was launched in 2026 as a new imprint for fiction and non-fiction titles.
With advancing consolidation in the book industry and independent publishers being increasingly squeezed out of the market, The Book Social is an original new publishing approach with a strong focus on readers.
The mission of The Book Social is to put readers first and central to all of its activities. This means building a unique and major reader community in the UK and internationally, through working closely with book groups, libraries, reader events, while partnering with online and other existing reader communities.
This will include readers having early access for new titles through to them having meaningful input into the books being acquired and published. Outside of the traditional bubble of publishing, The Book Social aims to talk to and learn from readers to build an imprint that is driven by what readers are looking for from their books.
The Book Social is also working in partnership with Legend Times to promote titles from its other lists to readers. As part of its new publishing model, The Book Social will be working with an increasing number of Commissioning Editors, meaning a wider range of books published and, therefore, greater choice for readers while maintaining the high quality of all books published.
The Book Social is open to all writers and readers with no barriers in place as it builds a new model of publishing and a major community directed by and for passionate book readers.
